improving About dialogue layout

Description
The About dialogue is ugly in the current form. I still remember having severe problems when trying to create a nice standard dialogue. Should be reworked to be more streamlined at some point before release.

The problem is that the modal dialog closes all the other windows before it is shown by default, and this takes some time in our case. The visible delay in displaying just that little bit of information looks even more unprofessional than the current version.

It doesn't close them, it just removes them from the panel. It's a GNOME-specific issue: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/nautilus/+bug/478594

The issue was adressed in the last commit, looks much better now. Restored the old issue summary that was destroyed by a spambot.

IMHO a modal dialog will do fine in this case, and at the moment I don't see any other use cases for something that looks like a standard dialog window but is non-modal either.
